1. What did you learn in this class this semester?
I learned to world news. I could know about politics of various countries, other's blog and foreign country's culture. I'm interested in all around the world news.
For example, it was interested how to write newspaper in recently the class. I was considered in this things.
Maybe, I have progressed English language skill this semester.

I think that ways to know information of around the world.

This news is about the United States Presidential election.

Aplil 9th 2003.

(3) What does the caption say under the photo?
It says, " Crowds cheer as a statue of Saddam Hussein falls."

(4) Translate the caption into Japanese.
群集はサダム・フセインの銅像が落ちて歓声を上げている。

(5) “Crowds cheer” = how many people, do you think?
I think it about ten thousand.

2. Now look at this photo taken at the same place and same time, and answer the questions.
(1) How many people were in the square, do you think?
I think it about one hundred.

(2) Do you think “crowds cheer” is accurate?
No I don't.

(3) What do you think of the first picture now?
I thought that there were much many people.

(4) Why did CNN use the first picture, do you think?
Because the first photo is more effective as the article.

(5) What do you think after seeing these two photos?
Media is always exaggerated.

3. Is it important for newspapers to tell the truth, or is it ok for newspaper to lie sometimes? Give reasons for your answer.
It is important to tell the truth on the newspaper. Because most people read the newspaper everyday. So, the person who doesn't watch television can receive intelligence from it. In other words, information doesn't enter from another. They can do nothing but believe the information from newspapers. In order to their, newspaper should write in the truth.

4. How can you check if some item of news is true or not? (Give at least two different ways).
First, I check the news from internet. Second, I check the news from on the television.
Though all are from media.

6.What do you think now, after reading your classmates’ blogs? Write your thoughts on your blog.
It was the same idea as other people, too. But defferent ideas people.

There are 1,591,000 Muslims that live in Britain.

2. How many Hindus live in Britain? (Go here for the answer).
There are 500, 000 Hindus that live in Britain.

Number of Muslims people is a correct.
Number of Hindus people isn't a correct. 559,000 Hindus.

1. Tell us about your New Year. Add a picture.
First, I worked Shinto shrine in my local. What was I doing? I did Miko. So, I sold Omamori and an arrow. It was very cold day. I had a cold next day.
Second, I went shopping with my friend at OPA in Namba. Although I had a cold, I went shopping. So there are full of person in OPA. We were very tired.
Third, I passed with my family. My parents gave me Otoshidama(Japanese traditional things.).

Because the day is Prophet 10th Birth Anniversary.

Elvis Presley's birthday.
He is famous for singer.

(6) What is Al Hijra and why is it on a British calendar?
Because Al Hijra was deeply relation of Christianity.

Robert Scott did.

(8) Whose birthday is on January 18th? What famous book did he write?
AA Milne's birthday.
He wrote Winnie-the-Pooh.

(9) Who died on January 24th, 1965? What is he famous for (write ONE thing).
Sir Winston Churchill died.
He was Britain Prime Minister from 1940 to 1945.

I think that is leaned British History from this calender.
